On Friday, August 25, 2023 we made a quick trip to the Niagara Falls Visitor Center to grab a couple of souvenirs. While we were there we also took a couple of photos of their version of going over the falls in a barrel. Then we made a quick trip to the grocery store to pick up some things for our dinner party the next night.
The rest of the day we relaxed until the evening when we headed out to the Niagara Falls Fireworks Show held at 10 pm most nights. As we did on Wednesday, we used the Rainbow Bridge to walk over to the Canadian side of the falls as we had read that the views are better from that side.
We originally planned to take photos from the area closest to the Horseshoe Falls, but it was just too crowded with like-minded people so we walked back to the bridge and shot our photos from the edge of the Canadian portion. This gave us a really good view of the show, so it turned out not to be a bad thing at all.
The show is short, not more than 6 minutes, but is quite spectacular. We took dozens, if not hundreds, of photos so I have tried to narrow them down to the best ones in the accompanying album.
After it was over we walked back to the American side of the bridge and stood in line with many other people doing the same thing that night. It was a longer wait than Wednesday night since there were many more people like us enjoying the fireworks show.
Back to the campground for a good night’s rest. We have a big day coming up tomorrow!
Next up: A long overdue reunion with friends in Buffalo.
