We left Bearmouth Chalet RV Park at 8:45 am on Saturday July 19th for a 5-hour drive east across the Continental Divide to Mountain Range RV Park in Columbus, Montana for a one-night stay.
About an hour before our arrival we received a voicemail from the Park. The one person who could check us in was going to be leaving early that day, so they left a packet for us by their mailbox and we could pick whatever open site we wanted.
When we arrived around 1:30 pm there were maybe six open sites. We chose number 13, a pull-through site with full hook-ups but only 30-amp electrical service. The site was very unlevel, but others looked worse or were more difficult to get into for a one-night stay.
Again, for one night we did not unhitch or extend the living room/dining room slide-out. After we got everything set up we took a nap because these days of driving 270 miles when you only have one or two nights somewhere can wear you out. But, we knew the schedule we made reservations for and it’s because there are few COE, State or National Parks with RV hookups across this portion of the country. We’re pretty limited to private parks that are more than we like to pay, so we drive long distances and for just one or two nights to get out of this “camping desert” part of the country.
At dinner we tried to watch Fargo before we get there the following week, but Cindy is not a dark comedy fan and found it boring after the first 20 minutes or so. Instead, we watched a movie she had seen before and found funny; The First Wives Club.
It was “OK” but not really all that great or funny to me. You probably have to have been a first wife to find it funny.
Then it was time for bed to rest for another long day of traveling the next day.
Thanks for following The Wandering Wetheringtons.

Oh I LOVED Fargo, I laughed so hard. But I can definitely understand it is not for everyone.
